I've been wanting to come here for years. I don't know why it took me so long. I've eaten at the Highwood location but not Libertyville. I finally had lunch here yesterday (Friday January 13, 2023), and I'm glad I did. When you walk in - you immediately smell, and then see the rotisserie chickens. You order at the front counter, then find a seat. When your order is ready they will call it out, and you pick it up at the window off the kitchen towards the back. The menu appears to be the same as Highwood. They have many offerings including crispy chicken sandwiches, burgers, brisket, and steak. I'm sure all of that is good: but I strongly encourage you to order something that incorporates their rotisserie chicken! It is sooo good!! I had two chicken tacos and a side of rice and beans. Everything was delicious. Prices are a bit high, but not unreasonable. Service is quick. The restaurant is clean. If you are in the area, you might want to smell for yourself.
I enjoyed my visit to this Clucker's. The sandwich was very good and hit the spot. I would say the highlight to the meal was the garlic mashed potatoes. They were some of the best mashed potatoes that I have had in a long time. Sauces were good and they served a variety of them.
What a cool little spot to eat. Beautiful location and really friendly service. The chicken was juicy and the fries were hot and fresh. I tried one of their sauces and it was a little overbearing thankfully the chicken didn't need any sauce haha! I'll be back to try the Cajun chicken sandwich!
This place is not just chicken! The beef brisket with Smokey bbq sauce was some of most tender and delicious brisket we've ever eaten. Chicken kabobs with roasted veggies were also great! Tender chicken and perfectly roasted veggies. Flavorful plain rice and red beans & rice too. Garlic bread had cheese melted on it which made it a bit chewy...would prefer plain toasted garlic bread instead. All in all it's a great place and we'll be back!
Just received the email below and really sad to see it go. Even though we moved out of state a few years ago, I always thought they served the best chicken in the area and we were frequent visitors when we lived in the area. I wish them well in their other location! We are announcing that our Libertyville location is physically closing, but we are staying open for delivery through our Highwood location. That means you can still enjoy the same delicious chicken and incredible flavorful dishes delivered to you in Libertyville! Thank you for your loyalty and support through the years.
